Overview

Letting God use you requires your yes or no and you don’t get to decide how you are used but rest assured He is with you every step of the way leading you into a beautiful new day.

Bible Passages
Romans 9:21

"Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for special purposes and some for common use?"

Isaiah 45:9
“What sorrow awaits those who argue or quarrel with their maker. Does a clay pot argue with its maker? Does the clay dispute with the one who shapes it, saying, ‘Stop, you’re doing it wrong!’ Does the pot exclaim, ‘How clumsy can you be?’

2 Corinthians 4:7
”We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.”

Ephesians 2:10

"For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago."

My Thoughts

Oftentimes we see the things that disqualify us on a running list in the forefront of our minds. Sometimes it's not even the devil that is berating us, calling us less than, deeming us incapable, or throwing our past of shame in our faces. Sometimes and most times it is actually us. We come against ourselves forgetting that God is the one that has chosen us to live out His call. He is the one that will strengthen us to live it out fully and completely.

Like the pot in Isaiah 45:9, we do this to God. We second guess, we judge, and we allow our fears to stop us. We hold higher the opinions of others over what God has spoken over us and we end up trapped in a cycle of should I or should I not knowing full well what it is that we should be doing.

This reminds me of Esther and Jonah. Esther stepped up to the plate and did what God called her to do even if it would have cost her… her very life. Jonah ran, he decided he knew better than God and it cost him his time and it even put others in danger. Esther yielded and saved many people. After quite a fishy journey, Jonah finally reluctantly yielded and allowed God to use him.

We do not get to decide how we are used. But we do get to decide if our response will be yes or no.

You have a choice in letting God use you. How will you go about it? Will you let him use you today in mundane moments? Will you let him use you at work to speak life to that one complaining co-worker? Will you let him use you at home to change the current atmosphere that has been prevalent in the family for generations?

Please remember, what God is calling you to do is not on you, it's on him. Trust the one that is shaping you, molding you, and calling you to go out and do whatever it is that He has specifically ordered for you to do from the beginning of time. His promise is that He will never ever leave you. He is right beside you, always.

The fact is either you will be used to move the kingdom forward or you will be used by the enemy to stay stagnant or to wreak destruction in the physical and spiritual realms of this world. The choice is yours.
