When you’re aligned in your identity it’s so much easier to walk in authentically. Who you are will always come out. Walk in the fullness of who you are knowing that God is backing you and he’ll never disappear. When you know who you are, little things do not shake you. Scare you, push you out of God’s character for your life. There’s no need for competition or envy because what God has for you is for you. Who God has called you to be is rock solid, it isn’t going to change. Ask yourself what do I see in others that I don’t see in myself? Ask God to reveal who you are to you because we each have a role to play in the kingdom.
People pleasing has got to stop. Who are you? Move your heart. Be okay with disappointing others but being pleasing to God. You have to be okay with being misunderstood. Get thee behind me satan. Said Jesus to Paul.
Being authentic means waiting on the Lord, let him tell you who you are, let him show you. When he shows you obey. Esther had a choice to obey. Noah had a choice to obey and he chose to obey. David had a choice and he chose to obey. Let’s see what happens when you don’t obey. Saul not waiting, Samuel grieving. Are you going to choose to obey God even if it means disappointing those closest to you? Be okay with making mistakes. Be okay with learning from those mistakes. Be okay with not having all the answers. Be okay with looking like a baby giraffe learning to walk. We all fall down, all of your faves have. Extend grace to yourself, no one is perfect. Only God is. Be okay with not being liked for being yourself and of people being jealous of you and only you are responsible for living the life that God has called you to live. Believe God's words over your life. YOU CAN NOT passively live this life out. Can’t be passive with living in your identity. You have to be active. You have to be intentional. How? Say no. Ask God. He reveals all things. Stop being fake. Get some mentors for accountability. Ignore the enemy and bark back. Be wise with who you share things with. Break the way that you see yourself. Before coming up here I thought who am I to do this? How you view yourself matters!!! Clearly God wanted me to speak. What is God asking you to do?
Ask the Lord to position you, not people. John 6:33 Don’t give past things entryway anymore, allow others to see you as new… Be who God has made you to be even if people hate you for it. Elijah. God cannot force you to believe Him. It’s an active choice, step by step. He’ll show you who you are. Believe Him. Be careful who you allow to speak directly into your life. Watch who you hang with. Who are you taking advice from? Insecure people breed insecure environments.
